It is the objective of the European Academy of DentoMaxilloFacial Radiology to promote, advance and improve clinical practice, education and/or research specifically related to the specialty of dental and maxillofacial radiology within Europe, and to provide a forum for discussion, communication and the professional advancement of its members.

Specific aims and objectives

 

  1. To encourage high standards in dental and maxillofacial radiology
    throughout Europe.

  2. To facilitate and support member countries to promote the speciality of dental and maxillofacial radiology within their own country.

  3. To promote the speciality of dental and maxillofacial radiology within
    Europe.

  4. To encourage and support high standards of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching of dental and maxillofacial radiology throughout
    Europe.

  5. To facilitate the production of a Europe-wide undergraduate curriculum in dental and maxillofacial radiology.

  6. To facilitate the production of European Selection/Referral Criteria in
    dental and maxillofacial radiography.

  7. To provide advice on European issues involving dental and maxillofacial radiology including radiation protection.

  8. To facilitate and promote research in dental and maxillofacial radiology within and across Europe.

  9. To facilitate the organisation of European DentoMaxilloFacial Radiology Congresses.

The next European congress is approaching while IADMFR congress ended in Hiroshima.

 

In Japan we had a quite intense meeting of the EC, members of the CC have attended as well. Our president elect Ralf Schulze is now editor of the DMFR journal. Congratulations!

LEUVEN, BE, the 21st of March 2011. The European Academy of DentoMaxilloFacial Radiology has now become a legally recognized non-profit organisation according to the Belgian law. Reinhilde Jacobs, Danisia Haba and Dirk Schulze signed a notarial proved record on that specific Monday. Happy Birthday EADMFR!
